The contract signing ceremony was held in Shanghai, according to local media reports.
In line with the contract, the restructured shipbuilder should start delivering the newbuilds in the second half of 2017.
The financial details of the contract and the vessel specifications have not been disclosed.
TB Marine is yet to reply to World Maritime News’ request for comment on the matter.
The German shipowner specializes in the transportation of liquid oil, products and chemicals.
